On behalf of the Minister of Local Government, the Water Services Authority – Taumata Arowai is consulting on a proposed levy or levies under section 201 of the Water Services Act 2021.

In accordance with the Water Services Act, consultation is targeted to councils and their council-controlled organisations that provide water services. The proposed levy or levies would help fund the cost of operating the Authority. 

We want your views on proposed levies payable by councils or council-controlled organisations to fund the Water Services Authority – Taumata Arowai.  

This consultation closes at 5pm on Friday 24 January 2025.
